OAKLAND, CA -- George Austin White, 50, entered into rest at the VA Medical Center in San Francisco on February 3, 2000. Born March 8, 1949, son of the late John Philip and Sarah White. George moved from New York to the San Francisco Bay area in 1986. He was a colorful figure with a great sense of humor, a quick wit and an outgoing personality that drew pleasure from making others laugh. He maintained that God given quality until he passed.
